Maria Hernandez Huerta, CFP®
I'm Maria, and I'm so glad you're here!
I love working with retirees, widows, and busy professionals. I really enjoy the analytical, puzzle-like component of financial planning. This part of my work puts my attention to detail and love of math to good use. Getting to know you (aspirations, fears, and all) gives me the opportunity to provide the best possible advice while creating a financial plan that helps you achieve true wealth.
I believe using a holistic approach to financial planning that takes into account everything from your mindset about money to the tax allocation of your assets is the best way to create a plan that helps you achieve your goals.
Executive Certificate in Financial Planning from Bellarmine University (2020)
Bachelor of Science in Mathematical Economics with minors in Finance, Spanish, and Applied Statistics, Western Kentucky University (2019)

I recently moved back to Tennessee and live in the greater Nashville area with my partner, Kyle. We share our home with our two cats, Lily and Pipsqueak, and our new puppy, Max(imum Destruction).
I am also an instructor for Kaplan, teaching financial planning courses to aspiring CFP® professionals preparing for the CFP® exam. I love being able to help current advisors and new advisors become CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ practitioners so more people can receive holistic financial planning.
In my free time, I enjoy baking, hiking, and reading.
